On Monday night, Emma, Sarah and I participated in a night hike around Granada. Starting in the core of the Albaicin neighbourhood, we climbed up and up and up, to better vantage points to view the Alhambra. The colours in the sunset only seemed to highlight other aspects of the Alhambra I hadn’t noticed earlier. The increased height of our vantage points also helped emphasize the size of the complex, and it’s imposing presence over the rest of the town.
It really dominates the entire city, constantly reminding us of the history of this city, its heritage, and its legacy.
